What to do when life throws you obstacles?
My workouts have been slacking due this terrible hernia that I have but I will not let it get me down! I will continue with healthy eating and my shakeology. What we do when life throws obstacles? We find ways to beat them! I lost the baby weight so I can now schedule my surgery which will require 6-8 weeks of light lifting and little to no excercise. But it's okay, cause I'm going in with a plan! Just like I did when I got pregnant. Though this time I will not eat for two! 😄 I will eat healthy and then do modified versions of my T25 until I feel ( and the doctor tells me) it's ok.

2 O'CLOCK OFFICE FATIGUE
Well it's 2 o'clock on Thursday and I have the classic Office Fatigue Syndrome! My concentration is fading and all I can think about is a nap! Have you ever had that feeling? Where all you want to do is crawl under your desk or close your office door and take a quick snooze? Here are some tips to help overcome this challenging fatigue:
- Make yourself a cup of coffee with Shakeology. This will help energize you and wake you up.
- Walk the hall. In example go to the bathroom, go to the kitchen, step outside, just get those legs moving.
- Eat smaller meals throughout the day.
- Make sure you are giving your eyes a break from the computer screen every few hours.
- If you have the flexibility, do a quick 25 minute workout during your lunch hour. T25, 21 Day Fix or PiYo are good ones.
- Find a way to confer with your colleagues. Don't slump at your desk and just try to wait it out till its time to go home.

BACK TO WORK

Obstacles While Working Out
So today was like any other day, I woke up, fed Patty and let Aspen out. I turned on my DVD player to do my focus T 25 workout courtesy of team beach body. Wouldn't you know I have five minutes left and Patty starts crying and Aspen wants to go out again! So I had two ways I could go: I could've ended my workout and called it a day or I could hit pause and resume once I took care of them. I chose to hit pause and come back to it once I was done taking care of them. Man it felt great to be able to say that I finished my workout today! Don't let interruptions discourage you get it done!

About Me
I am a new mom of a beautiful girl that came with a lot of extra weight! I followed the motto of "eating for two" while I was pregnant thinking it'll just go away on its own. However, I was kidding myself, as we all know, weight does not go away without dedication, hard work and eating right. I was always very active when I was a kid and tried to stay active as an adult. The last few years before having my baby girl, I was always on the road staying in hotels and not keeping up with my physical activities and eating crap from bars.
I began my journey of clean eating and working out after following an old facebook friend from high school. I watched her post baby body transform into everyone's dream body by working out and eating clean courtesy of team beachbody products. I began my journey in August with the alpha t25 program and shakeology and have seen a big change in my body and mental state from week one. After week one, I fit into a pair of pre-baby jeans, felt stronger and can see a change in my mood and thinking.
I found the clean eating meal plans have kept me focused on my eating and portion control. My husband has benefited from my meal planning, as he now knows that there will be dinner when he gets home from work and it's healthy. Prior to meal planning, we would just skip dinner, go through the drive thru or eat crap late at night.
I couldn't have kept going without the help of my free beachbody coach supporting and cheering me on. There were many times I wanted to give up and throw in the towel as the workouts were difficult to get in some days due to busy life, new little one keeping me up and wearing me out, and the sweat that t25 brought on with the fear of not having time to shower before the little one was up again! The support challenge groups held by my beachbody coach helped keep me stay accountable and see that I was not the only one struggling with everyday challenges trying to keep me from my goals. After experiencing this support and change in my body, mood, and habits I realized I wanted to help others achieve their fitness and health goals as I continue with mine.
